TV Series Info
From creator Michael Schur (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Master of None”) comes a unique comedy about what makes a good person. The show follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell, “House of Lies,” “Veronica Mars”), an ordinary woman who enters the afterlife, and thanks to some kind of error, is sent to the Good Place instead of the Bad Place (which is definitely where she belongs). While hiding in plain sight from Good Place Architect Michael (Ted Danson – “Cheers,” “CSI” – in an Emmy Award-nominated performance), she’s determined to shed her old way of living and earn her spot.

With a new world like this, its important to lay the ground works. They do exactly that, its an interesting world, and a great way of looking at Heaven and Hell. Now I know the limits of the world I’ll be keeping a close eye on what they do. I loved how everything felt like a big game/ simulator, it made it feel relatable because it is close to realism and it could be possible.
A fresh take on the sitcom industry, that had me thrilled and in stitches. It was a slow start, but once it was moving, nothing could stop it. I loved the twist right at the end of the season, it totally added to the entertainment.
Great and humorous CGI that really brought this creative world to life. With such a dynamic drama, they do so well to to make it fresh. I loved the way they showed ‘The Good Place’, it was like a simulation game, it brought it into the 21st century.
Kristen Bell is amazing, her humour creates great moments and her awkwardness of the character is what the show needs. My favourite is Manny, he is so stupidly funny, his character has heart and soul. It is an all rounded cast that play off of each other.
They stepped it up! New places, new characters, all without messing continuity or timelines up. As an audience member I feel committed to the show, and really want to explore more of the ideas that Michael Schur has.
I never saw that coming… I loved how the whole story has changed from good to bad, it kept it interesting and fun. Now the struggle is with Michael trying to get them to be tortured. This gives them plenty of chances to create humour and character development.
With new perspective on the story the crew played with their strengths and created some great shots. I loved the montage of Michael trying to get them to be tortured and failing, it helped the story forward without us missing any good bits. Yet again the effects were great, I liked how they mention torturing people with horrible things rather than showing us, it kept us imaging what the bad place looked like.
Ted Danson puts on another great performance, his struggle was humorous and his his character is evil but likeable. William and Jameela are both underdogs in this, Jameelas funny British accent and Williams awkwardness make it a great watch.
I thought this show could never surprise me again, but it did, I liked how they altered time to save the characters from death. This added another scenario for the characters to be in (The real world), now they have limitations, even Janet does. It allowed us to see the characters with no memory of the good place and so what they would naturally act like.
Another great narrative that had me laughing, however a few of the most recent episodes feel dragged out than the rest. It gets too bogged down in the politics, which slows the pace down. It is good though, keeping the same humour and structure like the other two seasons.
What else is there to say… It has the right theme, angles and effects. It stands out, unique and many sitcoms/ TV shows should take note. I find its effects corny sometimes, but that is what makes the show so fun, it strives to be its own world.
All actors still kept the fire going from previous seasons, their excitement is what makes it so funny and enjoyable to watch. Its great to Marc Evan Jackson in another role from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, he is a good adversary for the group and makes every line seem effortless.
